David Hockney, together with Richard Hamilton, is one of the fathers of the Pop Art movement in UK and has always been deeply involved with innovation and new technologies and techniques in art. The artist, not only a painter but also a printmaker, photographer, designer and draughtsman, has lately become a fan of the use of iPad and iPhone in his artworks. In fact, the exhibition includes some of his recent iPad drawings.
Hockney, who was one of the clearest students at this British institution that nowadays holds the exhibition, has been a member of The Royal Academy since 1991.
From 21 January until 9 April 2012 lovers and fans of this well known artist can visit the show which also is a unique and fantastic opportunity for those who do not know but would like to discover his artwork.
