FIONA TAN, ASIAN-DUTCH ART AT THE CAAC

This is a contemporary art event for all art lovers and above all for those loving Asian art: Fiona Tan (Pekanbaru, Sumatra, Indonesia 1966) is exhibiting at the CAAC (Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo).

Fiona Tan artwork has always showed a notable open interest in travelers and explorers. The present exhibition, ‘Punto de Partida’, features her works throughout three major video installations named ‘A Lapse of Memory’, ‘News from the Near Future’ and ‘Thin Cities’. The first one, her first live performer film as director, explores her interest in colonialism, one of Tan’s favorite themes since the beginning of her career.

Fiona Tan, currently living and working in Amsterdam (Holland) and well known for its photographs, videos and films, is a leading figure in the international contemporary art scene. Her exhibition can be visited until next 24 June.
