Casa Árabe (Madrid) is currently hosting the exhibition Jameel Prize 2011 which features the 10 finalist artwork pieces of this prize. The Jameel Prize 2011, supported by the institution Abdel Latif Jameel Community Initiatives (ALJCI), is focused on the work made by artists inspirited on the Islamic art and culture.

This is a unique opportunity for those art lovers to know more and get a first hand insight about this emerging and vibrant contemporary art scene somehow far from Western contemporary art stereotypes.

The artwork of Rachid Koraïchi, winner of the prize, as well as those from the finalists Aisha Khalid, Bita Ghezelayagh, Noor Ali Chagani, Hayv Kahraman,  Hazem El Mestikawy, Soody Sharifi, Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian, Hadieh Shafie and Babak Golkar can be visited until next 15 July.

    Do you ever run into any browser compatibility issues?
    A couple of my blog audience have complained about my site not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Chrome.
